Dory's Christmas List

Oh to be 9 years old again....and think the world is your oyster. Your parents have an endless supply of money and Santa lives exclusively for you. All pictures come from the Toys R Us catalog. Dory is stuck between a little girl and a grown women. She still plays with Barbies and Polly Pockets but walks around ignoring us all when she has her MP3 players on. In case the pictures are too small let me just tell you a couple of things on this list.
Project Runway silk screen kit $ 24.99 (she wants to design clothes when she grows up)
Asus Netbook $ 249.99
iHome Clock Radio $ 99.99
Sony Reader $ 199.99
Barbie 3 story Dream House $ 99.99 - Save $ 50.00!!
Designer Guitar $ 29.99 (she already has a pink guitar)
DSi $ 169.99
7 Disney movies @ 24.99/movie = $ 174.93
iPhone $ Priceless ....no seriously there is not a price listed!
So let me back up a little. When our kids were little like 1 and 3 we decided to ask Santa to bring them each one present. One year he got drums and she got a guitar. One year we (whole family) got plane tickets to fly to Disney for Christmas. Last year we (whole family) got a Wii. Then Mr. Fish and I buy them each something from us. This is our first year with 3 kids really since last year all Nemo did was lay there and poo. It makes me nervous for Santa. Will Santa pick just the right present at just the right price? Will the kids be excited by Santa's gifts? They are getting older and asking for more expensive things that Santa may/may not be able to afford. Here's to the magic of Christmas being enough for all of us this year!

We know you inside and out!

364 days ago our A was delivered csection, seems like yesterday. We know him inside and out. We know everything about him. What he likes, what he doesn't, everything. We know that you are guaranteed he will wake up screaming at least 3 times a night. He carries a White Sox soft plastic baseball bat 75% of his awake hours and a Notre Dame football the other 25%. He likes to shut off the tv at least 5 times a day usually right in the middle of your favorite show. He loves to swing and watch Barney. He is a gemstone and he belongs to us. We are some blessed folks and we know it! Happy Birthday Baby A we love you sooo much and are sooo thankful that God chose us to be your parents!

Nemo's first hair cut

In 4 days our youngest son will be one...unbelievable.

My brother cut Nemo's hair over the weekend. He went from a little baby to a young man in a matter of minutes.
Many changes are taking place this week! The forward facing car seat and the hair cut, next will be his big day! Friday is his birthday and could it be when he will start to sleep? We are all praying!!

Today, tomorrow, forever...

13 years ago today I stayed at our new home while my soon to be husband stayed at a hotel with his friends. There were 5 of us there that night. My sister Heather, my best friends Jill and Renee and my sister in law Niki. I was scared to use the heat because I didn't want Mr. Fish to be mad when he got the bill. When we woke up to start getting ready for the day...it was 52 degrees in our starter home :) I made cinnamon rolls and off we went to the church where I was to become Mrs. Fish.

I will not tell you that everyday since that day has been good and that I haven't question my decision to marry Mr. Fish at least a few times BUT the good definitely has outweighed the bad and I couldn't imagine calling anyone else husband. He is exactly right for me, we fit together, we know each other inside and out, after 19 years he still can make me laugh out loud. He has given me 3 of the best gifts ever and is a better Dad than I ever thought possible. Yes, he does have stinky feet and burps and doesn't rinse his dishes but he's mine...today, tomorrow, forever!

Thank you Mr. Fish for picking me, I can't imagine my life without you.

Disappointed to say the least

I planned and planned for Halloween this year and then I blinked and it was gone. Nemo's first Halloween...it was going to be huge! But in the end I didn't take enough pictures and the ones that I did take were fuzzy :( So sad. The good news is the day itself was lovely. We spent the entire day together cleaning up our house and working on our lawn. We had lunch and watched Survivor. The costumes came together perfectly and everything was great. I just wish I had one picture of just the fish children that was not fuzzy. Maybe next year?
